I have a vicious spyware program that has attached to my comp (Advance Virus Remover) I can afford to purchase a program to remove it. So if anyone knows of a good free program that wil scan AND remove it...Please help me!
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will remove Advanced Virus Remover.
This site provides a link to MBAM and directions for using it:
> How to remove Advanced Virus Remover: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-advanced-virus-remover
*** NOTE: Stay away from that crap link from Ron.
I don't know if he's malicious, or just posted a wrong link, but that is NOT the proper link for Spybot Search and Destroy.
If you are interested in Spybot Search and Destroy (it's not that good), get it only from its home site.

I know if i download something from frostwire there is a chance i might download something besides a song. But im saying when im not downloading anything, when frostwire is running. Is it possible for spyware or adware to download by itself into my computer since its p2p?
Frostwire as a program is clean, no spyware or other stuff. But when downloading any file you are risking a virus or other (worm, trojan, etc). Make sure your anti-virus is up to date and you won't have a problem. I use Frostwire and have Eset at work and Norton at home and both detect any corrupt or infected files and quaratine them while downloading or when downloading is done. If you are still worried you can right click on the file when done downloading and choose to scan it with your anti-virus program.
Nothing can download without your selecting it in Frostwire (unless there are custom scripts you configure, beyond my skill).
Good luck,
Brad.
