Spyware Removal
Spywares were initially developed as a marketing tool. This marketing tool was used by advertisers for market research to get their “target” audience. But now, in the view of the current nature of the World Wide Web, it has become malicious in nature. Reputable advertising companies claim that they do not collect “sensitive” information. But the problem is that in the current circumstances of identity crises owing to the virtual nature of the web, the very definition of “sensitive” has become volatile.
Spyware poses a serious threat to users as there is no way to ascertain what data has already been collected by the ware. There can be some serious infringement issues in the privacy of the owner. Some spywares are Nail.exe (aka Aurora), Winfixer 2005/Winfixer 2006, CoolWebSearch, Gator/Gain, 180search Assistant Spyware, ISTbar/ Aupdate Spyware.
Spyware removal can be done in some ways. But the best method is to not get infected by a spyware in the first place. Be very careful not to use your identity numbers like social security number, credit card number and bank account numbers as these can be obtained through spywares. Spyware removal can be done in mainly two ways.

One way is the use of real time spyware protection. The other is scanning and removing. Use of anti spyware and antivirus helps to prevent installation of spywares in the first place. This acts in a similar fashion to antivirus protection. As the data and files come in to the computer or are being executed, the real time spyware protection scans all of it and blocks all action from spyware programs. It also prohibits a third party’s attempt to install unasked programs and modify browser settings.
The scanners and removers work as their names suggest. Spyware removal is carried out by scanning individual files within the operating system and removing those that contain spyware. A good real time spyware scanner and virus protection is NOD32. Although methods of spyware removal are getting updated day by day, the program files of spyware are increasing at a double rate. Therefore, prevention is always better than cure.
